Second Round Of Ice Girls Tryouts This Saturday

BRIDGEPORT, CT â The American Hockey League's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, top affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Islanders, will hold the second round of tryouts for their new skating and entertainment squad, The Ice Girls, this Saturday, September the 25th at 9:30 a.m. at Bridgeport's Arena at Harbor Yard. Interested applicants must be at least 18 years of age, should bring their own skates and wear fitted clothing during tryouts and enter the arena through the press entrance on the parking garage side of the building. Applicants may also bring head shots or have their photograph taken the day of the tryout.
The Sound Tigers will open the 2004-05 season on Saturday, October 16th when they host the Albany River Rats at 7:05 p.m. They will also open their four-game preseason schedule versus Albany at the Rinks at Shelton on Friday, October 1st at 7 p.m.
