Iowa Wolves News Release

BISMARCK, ND - One night after giving up 139 points to the Dakota Wizards, the Iowa Energy turned up the defensive pressure in Friday's rematch to defeat the Wizards 104-92.

Dakota appeared to be on their way to another big offensive night as they took at 54-48 lead into the halftime break. The two rivals would keep the game close throughout the 3rd quarter before Iowa scored the final four points to take a three point lead into the final period.

The Energy bench would do most of the damage in the fourth quarter. Reserves Othyus Jeffers, Sean Barnette and Mark Tyndale combined to score 13 straight points for the Energy to give Iowa an insurmountable 97-83 lead with only 4:38 remaining in the game. Iowa held Dakota to only 38 second half points in the game.

Iowa was led by Tyndale's 21 points and 4 steals while Jeff Trepagnier added 20 points in the game. The win moves Iowa's record to a league best 17-5.

Renaldo Major led Dakota with 29 points and 9 rebounds. The loss drops Dakota to 10-10 on the season.

Iowa returns home Sunday for a 4pm game with Albuquerque. Tickets for that game, as well as the remainder of Iowa's home schedule are available at www.dahlstickets.com, the Wells Fargo Arena box office, or by calling 515-564-8550.
