SAN ANTONIO'S HAIRSTON REASSIGNED TO NBA D-LEAGUE AFFILIATE AUSTIN TOROS
San Antonio Spurs forward Malik Hairston was reassigned to the Austin Toros, the Spurs NBA D-League affiliate, it was announced yesterday. The reassignment is the 14th of the 2009-10 NBA D-League season, and the fourth for Hairston from the Spurs to the Toros in two years. Hairston was originally assigned to Austin on Dec. 4, 2009 before being recalled to San Antonio on Dec. 6. During that assignment, he averaged 25.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 35.0 minutes in two games. Hairston has appeared in 21 games for the Spurs this season, scoring eight points in 155 minutes of action. During his two-year NBA career, Hairston has appeared in 36 games for the Spurs, and owns career averages of 1.7 points, 1.1 rebounds and 6.3 minutes.

Maurice Baker finished with 32 points, nine rebounds and three assists, leading Dakota over Iowa. Romel Beck added 23 points and Marcus Dove had 15 points and 10 rebounds.
Othyus Jeffers and Earl Barron each scored 24 points for Iowa.
Mustafa Shakur had 22 points, seven rebounds and five assists to lead Tulsa. Deron Washington added 17 points and seven rebounds.
Dwayne Jones tallied 24 points and 18 rebounds for the Toros. Malik Hairston, in his first game since returning on assignment from the Spurs, led Austin with 28 points.
Mike Harris led all scorers with 28 points as Rio Grande Valley avenged a Showcase loss to Albuquerque.
Carlos Powell paced Albuquerque with 20 points.
Dontell Jefferson scored 24 points and Luke Nevill added 23 points and 10 rebounds to lead Utah.
Reece Gaines led Bakersfield with 17 points.
