
D-Fenders suffer loss against the Flash

EL SEGUNDO, CA- D-Fenders' Frank Robinson posted an individual season high of 30 points, despite their 97 to 102 loss against the Flash.
Utah outscored Los Angeles 27 to 26 at the close of the first quarter. D-Fenders' Robinson managed to pour in 13 points in the first, while teammate Diamon Simpson contributed with six rebounds. Andre Ingram led the Flash with six points.
The Flash continued to pull away in the second quarter outscoring the D-Fenders 28 to 19, closing the half with a 55 to 45 advantage. D-Fenders' Robinson kept his team in the game, grabbing 22 points at the half. Utah's Orien Greene led the team with 14 points and five assists, while Carlos Wheeler came away with 10 points and six rebounds.
Los Angeles prolonged their deficit scoring only 18 to Utah's 21, finishing the third 63 to 76. Greene carried the Flash with 18 points at the end of the quarter, while Robinson totaled 28 points for the D-Fenders. The close of the third left the D-Fenders with 14 turnovers, resulting in 22 points for their opponent.
The D-Fenders made a comeback in the fourth quarter, scoring 34 to Utah's 26, but were not able to capture a lead. Robinson posted 30 points for Los Angeles, while teammates Simpson (26 points, 10 rebounds) and Michael Fey (10 points, 13 rebounds) contributed with double-doubles. All five starters for the Flash scored in double figures with Wheeler leading his team at 18 points and 10 rebounds.
"The first thing that we need to do is make free throws," said D-Fenders starter Ryan Forehan-Kelly on approaching an eight-game road trip. "Second, we need to play better as a team and communicate with each other."
