Construction is moving along as the summer comes to an end. The web-cam gives a clear view of the home dugout and if you follow that left, there is the tunnel which leads to the underground clubhouses and batting cages. Within the next two weeks the concrete will be poured for the seating bowl providing the best sign that the project is coming together.
The Alley Cats look forward to announcing some exciting aspects of the new stadium in the near future.

Interview with new Alley Cats pitcher Mike McDonald
Number 17, Mike McDonald joined the Alley Cats recently and took the time to speak with radio announcer Andy Barch to answer some questions not normally asked in the newspapers. Mike, 22, was a 15th round draft pick residing in Camden, Maine who most recently played for the Auburn Doubledays.
Mike began playing ball at four or five years old and has now been playing for close to eighteen years. Growing up he played multiple sports from soccer to high school basketball. In high school he was a point guard and he still tries to get on the court every once in a while to play, "old school style" basketball.
Moving from high school through different levels of baseball he has noticed that he must spend more and more time on the field. You have to be very dedicated at the pro level. He has also noticed that you can get away with a lot more on the mound at the lower levels. Now as he moves up through the organization the different level of competition is obvious and it is no longer as easy to survive those mistaken pitches.
In his spare time Mike likes to fish and golf although he doesn't keep a handicap. He is a big Red Sox fan and especially likes Roger Clemens. His brother was a Braves fan and because of that Mike began to follow Greg Maddux as well. Mike is a fan of the other Boston teams as well. He feels the Patriots are primed for another Super Bowl title and that new running back Corey Dillon will have a huge year. He is a Celtics fan as well but chooses a "No Comment" when asked about Danny Ainge's management abilities although he is looking forward to Doc Rivers and his different coaching style at the helm.
