Hagerstown Suns News Release
Columbia, SC- This isn't the perfect ten that Dudley Moore ran towards on that Carribean beach 25 years ago. The Hagerstown Suns have gone belly-up in August and lost their 10th straight game, 11-4 against the Capital City Bombers.
The Suns (15-36) got a two-run homer from Jesse Schmidt, and RBI hits from Brian Munhall and Mike Wagner, but it wasn't nearly enough against the first place Bombers (30-18). Capital City has six homeruns and eleven doubles in their three wins in theis series.
Lastings Milledge hit the first pitch of the bottom of the first inning from Travis Nesmith over the left field wall for a 1-0 Bombers lead, and they never looked back. They scored seven runs against Nesmith in the fourth to end his night with nine earned given up on nine hits in 3 1/3 innings. Juan Serrato threw 2 2/3 scoreless in relief.
RHP Tim Worthington goes up against the Suns' RHP Mike Musgrave at 12:05pm on Wednesday in the finale of an eight game road trip.
