Mississippi Sea Wolves News Release
Biloxi, MS - The Mississippi Sea Wolves lost to the Elmira Jackals 4-2 at home on Tuesday evening, defeated the Pensaolca Ice Pilots 8-2 on Friday evening, and lost to Pensacola 4-3 on Saturday evening.

The Sea Wolves are home again this Thursday, November 22, against the Augusta Lynx at 7:05 p.m., on Friday, November 23, vs. the Augusta Lynx at 7:05 p.m. and Saturday, November 24, vs. the Augusta Lynx at 7:05 p.m.
On Saturday, be sure and bring a stuffed animal to the game to throw on the ice after the Sea Wolves score their first goal! The toys will be collected and donated to local non-profit organizations as part of the Sea Wolves Holiday Toy Drive.

The Elmira Jackals downed the Mississippi Sea Wolves by a score of 4-2 at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum in front of a crowd of 2,539 on Tuesday evening.
Elmira scored first, when Bobby Robins found a loose puck and put it past Morgan Cey with the Jackals on a power-play at 12:58 of the first period. Chris Busby gave the Jackals a 2-0 lead with a power-play goal when his blast from the blueline beat Cey at 17:44.
The Sea Wolves drew within one when Jason Tejchma scored his third of the year, driving home a goal-mouth pass from Ryan Menei at 15:18 of the second period. Elmira took just 30 seconds to extend their lead to two once again, when Chaz Johnson drove the net and Mike McLean's centering feed redirected off his skate and into the goal at 15:48.
Trevor Hendrikx scored with a slap-shot from the blue line to give Elmira a 4-1 lead at 12:14 of the third. The Sea Wolves cut the lead back to two when Ryan Menei beat Elmira goaltender Joel Martin with a wrist shot for a power-play goal at 15:10 of the third period.
The Sea Wolves were 1-for-7 on the power play, and Morgan Cey made 27 saves on 31 shots.
Friday, November 16 vs. Pensacola Ice Pilots, 8-2 W
Lance Monych scored a goal and four assists, Radek Smolenak had a goal and three assists and Torry Gajda and Jason Tejchma each scored a pair of goals as the Mississippi Sea Wolves beat the Pensacola Ice Pilots by a score of 8-2 in front of a crowd of 4,386 at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum on Friday night.
The Sea Wolves grabbed the lead at 3:51 of the first period, when Radek Smolenak fed Monych from behind the net and he jammed it past Pensacola goaltender John Daigneau. Smolenak notched his second assist of the night when he got the puck to Jason Tejchma, who beat Daigneau upstairs with a wrist shot at 16:25 of the first period.
With both teams distracted by a scrum near the benches, Mark Hurtubise picked up the puck and broke in alone, putting the puck past Daigneau for a 3-0 lead at 9:09 of the second period. At 11:13 of the second, Torry Gajda scored his first of the game, picking up the rebound of Mike Falk's wrist shot. He would score his second of the game ten seconds later, when he broke down the right wing and launched a shot that beat Daigneau on the short side and chased him from the Pensacola net.
Pensacola got on the board when Luke Erickson picked up the rebound of his own shot and put it past Sea Wolves goaltender Morgan Cey at 12:50 of the second. Tejchma would add his second of the game at 15:47.
Bryan McGregor would cut the Sea Wolves lead to five, scoring his third of the season at the two minute mark of the third period. At 12:27, Gio Flamminio scored his second of the season, beating Pensacola's Mike Brodeur with a drive from the left point. Radek Smolenak closed out the scoring for the Sea Wolves with a power-play goal at 13:36 of the third period.
The Sea Wolves were 1-for-6 on the power play, and Morgan Cey made 26 saves on 28 shots to earn the win.
Saturday, November 17 vs. Pensacola Ice Pilots, 3-4 L
BILOXI, MS - The Pensacola Ice Pilots defeated the Mississippi Sea Wolves by a score of 4-3 at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum on Saturday evening as the team held its' first Pink In The Rink game.
Mississippi got on the board first when Travis Lisabeth picked up the rebound of a shot from Mark Hurtubise and fired it past Ice Pilots goaltender John Daigneau just 1:59 into the first period. Pensacola would tie it up at 3:12 of the first when Mike Sgroi took a pass from Mathieu Roy and beat Morgan Cey to the stick side for a power-play goal. Lance Monych regained the lead for the Sea Wolves with a power-play goal at 5:54 of the first period, redirecting Pat Oliveto's shot from the point past Daigneau. The Ice Pilots evened the score as Pensacola's Mike Tuomi outraced Mike Couch for a bouncing puck and put it past Cey at the 16:27 mark of the first period. Mathieu Roya would give Pensacola the lead on the power-play when his shot from the point beat Morgan Cey with 19:29 remaining.
The Sea Wolves drew even again as Torry Gajda picked up the rebound of a shot from Gio Flamminio right in front of the net, beating Daigneau for his third goal against Pensacolca in two days.
Pensacola got the game winner on the power-play at 3:08 of the third period when Mike Ullrich buried a shot from the top of the circle past Cey with Bill Kinkel in the penalty box for unsportsmanlike conduct.

Toys For Tots and canned food drive this weekend!
The Mississippi Sea Wolves in conjunction with the United States Marine Corps Reserve are partnering to collect toys at all three home games against the Augusta Lynx on November 22, 23, and 24th! Fans who would like to donate should bring a new, non-giftwrapped toy to the game and drop it in one of the collection boxes located on the concourse.
Fans can also bring in canned food that will be collected for the Back Bay Mission at all three games this weekend.
Fans who bring toys for the Toys for Tots program or canned goods for the Back Bay Mission will receive the opportunity to register to win dinner with the Sea Wolves. One lucky fan will receive the opportunity to bring a guest to dinner with 3 Sea Wolves players at Outback Steakhouse at a date and time to be determined.
Fans Score Free Tickets With Saturday's Rebound Deal!
All fans at the game on Saturday, November 24 against the Augusta Lynx will get a free general admission ticket to Tuesday night's game against the South Carolina Stingrays!
