Mississippi Sea Wolves News Release
BILOXI, Miss. â The Mississippi Sea Wolves announced today that the team has released defenseman Jason Kean (KEEN).
Kean, 25, was named Mississippi's Rookie of the Year in 2003-04. After signing as a free agent on November 23, the 5-foot-11 and 195-pound Kean appeared in 39 games with the Sea Wolves, tallying one goal, nine points and 67 penalty minutes. A native of Nanaimo, British Columbia, Kean started his first professional season in Germany with Peiting EC of the German Oberliga South. In 11 contests, Kean finished with one goal and five points, while accumulating 37 penalty minutes.
The Sea Wolves roster now stands at 21.
Goaltenders (2): Randy Hevey and Jason Wolfe.
Defense (9): Chris Cava, Kerry Ellis-Toddington, Lee Jacobson, Mike Jarmuth, Mike Martone, Milt Mastad, Austin Miller and Patrick Rochon.
Forwards (11): Anthony Battaglia, Darryl Campbell, Nicolas Corbeil, Bobby Cunningham, Lucas Drake, Louis Dumont, Jeff Hutchins, Andy Johnson, Jay Legault, Travis Lisabeth and Tristan Lush.
The Sea Wolves drop the puck on their ninth ECHL season at 7:35 p.m. on Friday against archrival Louisiana at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum.
