PART ONE IS ALMOST OVER: The Sea Dogs and Erie SeaWolves (Tigers affiliate) play the rubber game of their three-game series on Thursday night at Jerry Uht Park...Portland snapped a five-game losing streak in Erie with last night's win - their previous victory was June 14, 2011...Knuckleballer Charlie Haeger makes his second career start against the 'Wolves and his seventh start with Portland this season...Haeger has worked 20 innings over his last three starts, going 1-2, 4.05 ERA (9 ER/20.0 IP).

SIMPLY DOMINANT: Drake Britton (4-5) tossed a career-high eight innings on one hit, one walk and eight strikeouts, as the Sea Dogs defeated the SeaWolves 6-0...Britton was hitless until Hernan Perez led off the seventh with a double...Rafael Perez closed out the shutout with a scoreless ninth...Matt Spring went 2-for-4 with 3 RBI and 2 doubles...Michael Almanzar and Xander Bogaerts each homered...Kolbrin Vitek went 1-for-4 with a run-scoring single in the second...Erie's Warwick Saupold (4-2) took the loss, allowing a season-high six runs over 6 IP.
