Altoona Curve News Release

CURVE, Pa. - Thursday night's game between the Altoona Curve and the Reading Fightin Phils has been postponed. The game will be made up on August 19 at 5:30 p.m. as the front half of a doubleheader against Reading.

Thursday's game was slated to feature the What If We Were the Coasters? promotion. The event--which is a nod to a team name that was considered for the Altoona franchise--saw the Curve outfitted in mocked-up Coasters uniforms. The event is now rescheduled for Tuesday, June 18th in a game against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats.

Fans who had tickets to Thursday night's game against the Fightin Phils can exchange them for tickets to any remaining 2013 Altoona Curve home game of equal or lesser value based on availability.

The Curve will look to defend their four-game winning streak against the Binghamton Mets (AA - New York Mets) on Friday, June 7 at 7 p.m. Postgame fireworks will launch following Friday night's series opener with the B-Mets. It is also a T.G.I. Friday's Curve Mug Club Night where the first 250 fans 21+ will receive a Mug Club Mug as they exit the park. After the game, two Curve players will head over to the T.G.I. Friday's on Plank Road to visit with fans for one hour at the Extra Innings Party.

Kids will be able to run the bases after the tilt with Binghamton.

Taking the mound for the Curve will be RHP David Bromberg (2-5, 3.83), who will be starting against Binghamton for the first time this season. He'll face off against B-Mets RHP Logan Verrett (6-2, 3.86) in the series opener. Gates for the contest swing open at 6 p.m. while airtime on ESPN Radio 1430, WVAM and the Curve Radio Network is set for 6:30 p.m. For tickets and more information on the current Curve homestand, call 877.99.CURVE, visit AltoonaCurve.com or stop by the ticket windows at Peoples Natural Gas Field.
