
Sea Dogs Launch Re-Designed Website

Portland, Maine- The Portland Sea Dogs, the Double-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox are proud to announce the launch of a new and improved official website; www.seadogs.com. The new look website is designed and hosted by Skiltech Web Services. The launch of the new site coincides with the Sea Dogs 2006 Opening Day. Portland opens the season tonight against the Connecticut Defenders (Giants) at 6:35 PM in Norwich, Connecticut. The Sea Dogs home opener is slated for Thursday, April 13th at 6:00 PM against the Binghamton Mets.
The new homepage banner features 2005 Eastern League Pitcher of the Year Jon Lester, current Red Sox Jonathan Papelbon, current Sea Dog Craig Hansen, Slugger and Wally the Green Monster. In addition to a new color scheme and more user friendly layout the new site will also feature:
- Multimedia capabilities including live game audio, clips of player interviews, and game highlights
- An expanded history and records section
- A copy of the 2006 Sea Dogs Media Guide
- Continued on-line ticket and souvenir ordering
- Player information including bios, stats, game notes, and transactions
- Archived game recaps and box scores
- Kids Pages including downloadable coloring pages, mascot profiles, and Kids Club information
The new official site of the Portland Sea Dogs, is a constant work in progress, the Sea Dogs will continue to add and enhance features over the next few weeks.
Tickets for the Sea Dogs home opener on April 13th and all Sea Dogs home games are available. Tickets can be ordered by calling the Sea Dogs Ticket Office at 207-879-9500 or on-line at www.seadogs.com.
The Sea Dogs will host an Open House on Saturday, April 8th from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM so that fans may see the new U.S. Cellular Pavilion in right field. Free food will be provided by Dunkin' Donuts, Binga's Winga's and the Portland Sea Dogs. Tickets for the new U.S. Cellular Pavilion are now on sale.
