CLOSING UP SHOP: The Portland Sea Dogs wrap-up the regular season, looking for a split of a 4-game series with the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Blue Jays affiliate) on Monday afternoon at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium...With a victory today, the 'Dogs would finish 2-2 in September and end 12 consecutive losing months...Their last winning month was August, 2014...RHP Mike McCarthy makes the start in the '16 finale, taking the spot of RHP Keith Couch. THREE LEFT THE PARK:Mitch Atkins (6-7) fanned 9 batters over 6.1 innings on just one run, leading the Sea Dogs to a 7-2 win over New Hampshire on Sunday night...Mauricio Dubon had the game-winning hit, blasting a 3-run homer off losing pitcher Wilmer Font (3-2) in the second inning...Cody Decker and Aneury Tavarez provided solo-homers, both to leadoff innings...Atkins will finish the season with a league-high 145 strikeouts, and 151 K's between Portland and Pawtucket, the most in the Red Sox system. ~~~~~
