HISTORY MADE - Reading hit their 159th home run of the season on 8/17/16 vs. Richmond (Dylan Cozens) to set the new single-season team home run record...It was previously 158 by the 2004 Reading Phillies...Dusty Wathan passed former Reading Phillies manager Bill Dancy (1983-1984, 1988, 1994-1995) for the franchise record in wins as a manager on 7/22/16 vs. Hartford...Wathan now has 372 career wins... ! WHAT A SEASON! - The Fightin Phils have won back-to-back Eastern Division titles...Reading has won 26 series this season while only losing nine...They have split six series and have swept seven... ! TOPS IN THE MINOR LEAGUES - The Fightin Phils have more home runs (182) than any other team in all of Minor League Baseball...Their 736 RBI and 779 runs are currently third in all of the minor leagues behind El Paso (741 RBI, 784 runs) and Las Vegas (770 RBI, 814 Runs) of the Pacific Coast League (AAA)... ! BEST IN THE MINOR LEAGUES - The Fightin Phils currently has the second best winning percentage (.629) in all of minor league baseball...The Salem Red Sox (A+ - Boston) has the best winning percentage (.630) in all of the minor league baseball...The Chicago Cubs (.647) currently have the best winning percentage in professional baseball... ! BASH BROTHERS - Dylan Cozens (39) and Rhys Hoskins (37) currently lead Mark Trumbo (41) and Chris Davis/Manny Machado (33) of the Baltimore Orioles for the most home runs in professional baseball between two teammates...
Cozens and Hoskins have homered in the same game 13 times this season while hitting back-to-back home runs five times...Cozens is currently first in all of professional baseball with 123 RBI...Kyle Jensen of Reno currently has 120 and is second...Hoskins is tied for third with 114 RBI...Nolan Arenado of the Colorado Rockies currently has 117 RBI...
