The Sea Dogs clinched their best May in franchise history with last night's win...Today, they play a day/night doubleheader against the Trenton Thunder at Arm & Hammer Park.

NEWS AND NOTES
DAY AND NIGHT : The Sea Dogs and Trenton continue their four-game series with a day/night doubleheader on Saturday night...Portland is playing their first day/night doubleheader since May 17, 2008 at New Britain...With last night's win, the 'Dogs clinched their best May in franchise history, surpassing the 1995 Sea Dogs...If Portland wins game one, they will be 19 games over .500 for the first time since 2006...The Sea Dogs are 2-0-2 in doubleheaders this season.
BULLPEN IS KEY : RHP Michael Olmsted (2 IP) and LHP Robby Scott (IP) closed out the game with three scoreless frames, as the 'Dogs held on to beat the Trenton Thunder 4-3 on Friday night...With the game tied at three in the eighth inning, LF Bo Greenwell drew a bases-loaded walk for the game-winning RBI...Olmsted earned his second win of the year, yielding a two-out double and fanning one...Trenton loaded the bases in the ninth against Scott, but Gary Sanchez hit into a force out to end the game...1B Stefan Welch went 3-for-4 with an RBI and two doubles...3B Sean Coyle and RF Peter Hissey each had two hits.
