Jesse Biddle was solid through 6 1/3 innings but allowed three runs to earn his fifth loss of the season

The Reading Fightin Phils had a 2-1 lead late on Saturday but a two-run bottom of the 7th inning gave Erie a 3-2 lead and didn't look back. Jesse Biddle suffered his fifth loss of the season as he allowed three runs through 6 1/3 innings. Reading is now 29-24 on the season.

Ramon Cabrera hit a RBI single off Jesse Biddle in the bottom of the 3rd inning to give the SeaWolves a 1-0 lead. The Fightin Phils took a 2-1 lead in the top of the 5th inning as Albert Cartwright hit a two-run home run off SeaWolves starter Warwick Saupold.

Jesse Biddle left after one out in the bottom of the seventh inning and two runners on base. Kyle Simon came in relief and gave up a two-RBI single by Craig Albernaz to give Erie a 3-2 lead.

Jay Johnson tossed 2/3 innings giving up one walk with one strikeout.

The Fightin Phils and SeaWolves wrap up their series on Sunday afternoon at Jerry Uht Park. First pitch is scheduled for 1:35 pm.
