SHORT HOMESTAND ENDS TONIGHT : The Portland Sea Dogs and Trenton Thunder (Yankees affiliate) conclude a three-game series on Wednesday night at Hadlock Field...Portland had the first four games of the homestand postponed...Following tonight's game, the 'Dogs begin a seven-game roadtrip on Thursday night at Dunkin' Donuts Park against the Hartford Yard Goats (Rockies affiliate)...Righty Kevin McAvoy seeks his first win of the season in tonight's game.

SPLIT OF THE TWINBILL : Trenton scored five times in the eighth inning on the strength of two-run homers by Chris Gittens and Jhalen Jackson to take the opener, 6-1...In the night cap, the 'Dogs grabbed an early 2-0 lead on back-to-back RBI doubles by Tony Renda and Austin Rei, but Trenton took a 4-2 lead in the fourth inning...Luke Tendler tied the game with a lead-off homer in the fifth and Cole Sturgeon delivered a two-run homer for the game-winner in the sixth.
