Curve Return to PNG Field for Seven-Game Homestand

CURVE, Pa. - The Altoona Curve, Double-A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates, begin a seven-game homestand at Peoples Natural Gas Field on Thursday night against the Erie SeaWolves, Double-A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers. The weekend is highlighted by Star Wars Night on Friday, the Starling Marte Fans' Choice All-Time Curve Team bobblehead giveaway on Saturday and more. The homestand continues with three games against the Bowie Baysox, Double-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles, beginning on Monday.

Baseball action returns to PNG Field on Thursday night. The first 500 fans will take home a Replica Championship Ticket, presented by The Award Man & ARC. It will also be Thirstday, presented by Q94, with $2 specials on 16 oz. Miller Lite draft beers and regular-size sodas. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m. and the ballpark gates open at 5 p.m.

Friday night features a single-admission double-header between the Curve and SeaWolves with first pitch in Game 1 set for 4:30 p.m. on Star Wars Night. The team will be sporting special Han Solo jerseys, presented by Aircon Engineering, Inc., in Game 2, will be auctioned off during the evening. The auction will close at the end of the fourth inning in Game 2. Friday's action will be followed by a spectacular fireworks show, presented Aircon Engineering, Inc.

Saturday brings the third installment in the Fans' Choice All-Time Curve Team bobblehead series, with a Starling Marte bobblehead being given to the first 1,000 fans through the gates, presented by M&T Bank. First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m. and the gates at the stadium open at 3 p.m.

The series against Erie concludes on Sunday with a Ritchey's Dairy Curve Kids' Club Game. The club is free for kids ages 3-12 years old and includes admission to all Sunday home games this season, plus many more exclusive benefits. First pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m. and the gates open at 1 p.m.

The Baysox come to town on Monday night to open a three-game series with Mitsubishi Monday. Fans can grab free Grandstand tickets on Monday at Five Star Mitsubishi in Altoona. First pitch is set for 6 p.m.

The series continues at 6 p.m. on Tuesday with Two-for-Tuesday, presented by Atlantic Broadband, featuring buy-one, get-one-free specials on tickets, hot dogs and small popcorn.

Wednesday is an Education Day, presented by Subway, with a special 10:30 a.m. first pitch. The gates to the stadium open at 9 a.m. It is also Winning Wednesday, presented by the Pennsylvania Lottery, when fans have the chance to win special prizes from the PA Lottery.
