LOOKING TO GO OUT ON A HIGH NOTE: Portland has dropped 4 of 5 on their current homestand, which concludes this afternoon against the Bowie Baysox at Hadlock Field...Bowie is seeking their first sweep in Maine since June 10-12, 2011, when they took a 2-game set at Hadlock Field...The Sea Dogs are 10 games under .500 for the just the second time this season (12-22 on May 14)...RHP William Cuevas returns to the mound after 10 days off, making his 10th start of the season.

WHERE DID YOU GO JOE: Former Sea Dog Joe Gunkel tossed six scoreless innings on 5 hits and 3 strikeouts, as Bowie beat Portland 1-0 on Saturday night at Hadlock Field...The lone run came in the first inning on a two-out RBI single by Rossmel Perez...Bowie's bullpen received 2 IP from Mikey O'Brien (hold) and a perfect ninth from Marcel Prado (save)...Heri Quevedo allowed one run on 4 hits, 2 walks and 2 strikeouts, taking the loss in his Double-A and season debut...Mike McCarthy tossed 3 innings of relief and Pat Light pitched a perfect ninth.
