DEDGAR BACK ON THE HILL: Lefty Dedgar Jimenez is back on the mound, as the Portland Sea Dogs and Hartford Yard Goats (Rockies affiliate) continue their five-game series from Dunkin' Donuts Park...Portland snapped a nine-game losing streak in Hartford (dating back to last year) with last night's win...Following this five-game series, the entire Eastern League will be off for the All-Star Break (Game is July 11th at Trenton).
WHAT A COMEBACK: Luke Tendler hit a pinch-hit two-run homer on a 3-2 count with two outs in the ninth inning, giving the Sea Dogs a 7-5 win in the series opener...Jordan Weems (2-2) pitched the final 1.2 innings on two hits and three strikeouts to earn the win...Logan Cozart (6-3) pitched 1.2 innings on one hit and two runs to suffer the loss...Portland grabbed a 3-0 lead in the first inning on a two-run single by Tony Renda and a run-scoring hit from Austin Rei.
