FIREWORKS BEFORE WE LEAVE: The Portland Sea Dogs honor Independence Day with a post-game fireworks show on Wednesday night, as they conclude a four-game series with the Trenton Thunder (Yankees affiliate) at Hadlock Field...The 'Dogs are seeking their first four-game sweep at home since July 23-26, 2015 against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats...RHP Denyi Reyes makes his 16th start of the season for Portland.
TWO FOR TUESDAY: RHP Bryan Mata tossed six strong innings to win his Double-A debut in game one of a doubleheader, 7-1...In game two, C Charlie Madden picked up Portland's lone hit, a run-scoring single to give the 'Dogs a 1-0 win...LHP Daniel McGrath tossed five scoreless frames on two hits, three walks, and six strikeouts to earn the win in game two...In the opener, Portland scored five in the first, highlighted by a 3-run double from RH Luke Tendler.
