Ontario Clippers News Release

LOS ANGELES, CA - The Agua Caliente Clippers (5-3) once again take down the struggling Salt Lake City Stars (1-7), 116-108, on Wednesday afternoon at STAPLES Center.

Two nights after Brandon Boston Jr. dropped 46 on Salt Lake City, becoming the youngest player to score at least 46 points in G League history, two-way player Jay Scrubb had a game of his own, recording a career-high 36 points on 15-for-30 (50 percent) shooting from the field and six-for-10 (60 percent) shooting from distance.

Four other Clippers scored in double-figures, with George King, Moses Wright, and Emmitt Williams recording 14 points apiece.

The Stars were paced by Jared Butler's 26 points. He added nine assists, three steals and two blocks to the scoresheet.

Both teams came out of the gates firing, with Salt Lake shooting 52 percent and Agua Caliente shooting 63.2 percent in the opening quarter. After trailing by as much as 10 in the second quarter, the Clippers ended up taking a 10-point lead of their own in the final frame. While the shooting numbers were fairly even, the difference in the game was the second-half fouls, which led to 18 Clipper points at the foul line compared to SLC's nine free throw points.

Agua Caliente has a week off from action before returning to Ontario to take on the Santa Cruz Warriors on Wednesday, December 8th. The ballgame is slated to tip off at 7 pm PT at the Toyota Arena in Ontario, Calif.
