August 21, 2021 - Eastern League (EL)
Akron RubberDucks News Release
RubberDucks left-hander Adam Scott pitched a season-long six innings to earn his second straight win, and Akron pitchers did not walk a single batter for a second straight night in a 3-2 victory and third straight win over the Harrisburg Senators at Canal Park on Saturday night. The RubberDucks moved to a season-best 24 games above .500.
Turning Point
After Harrisburg tied the game in the top of the fourth, Akron quickly answered in the bottom of the inning. Chris Roller lined a one-out double to right field, before scoring on an Ike Freeman single, giving Akron the lead again at 2-1.
Mound Presence
Adam Scott worked around a first-inning single and retired eight in a row before a solo home run in the fourth by Aldrem Corredor. It was the only run in his six innings, and he struck out seven batters. Ben Krauth followed with a scoreless inning. Aaron Pinto tossed a scoreless inning with two strikeouts. Nick Mikolajchak allowed a ninth-inning leadoff single, but he slammed the door shut, retiring the next three batters to close out the game.
Duck Tales
The RubberDucks started the scoring early, as Bryan Lavastida singled to score Will Brennan to make it 1-0 Akron in the bottom of the first. Akron had a hit in each inning and left at least one on base each inning - nine total - while going 2-for-11 with runners in scoring position.
