Scott Seabol Tops List Of Isotopes Player Awards

After a stellar season, Albuquerque Isotopes third baseman Scott Seabol claimed Most Valuable Player honors by vote of his teammates at the team's annual Player Award Ceremony held prior to the club's season finale Monday afternoon against Oklahoma.

This year Seabol became the first player in Isotopes history to drive in 100 runs, entering today's play with a team-high 104. The popular third baseman also set franchise records with 99 runs scored and 150 hits to go along with a .299 average and 31 homers.

Also garnering recognition from his peers was Valentino Pascucci, who won PNM Power Hitter of the Year Award after belting a PCL-leading 34 home runs, while super shortstop Robert Andino, claimed Defensive Player of the Year for the second straight season.

Pitcher of the Year accolades went to reliever Roy Corcoran, who finished with a team-high 14 saves while winning four games and posting a 3.60 ERA

Outfielder Brett Carroll walked away with two awards, the Mr. Hustle honor as well as Most Community-Minded, an honor annually bestowed by the Isotopes front office. Carroll, who enters Monday's play with a .314 batting average, 19 homers, and 70 RBI, was also a fixture at club-held clinics, hospital visits, and other charitable endeavors held by the Isotopes throughout the season.

Finally, the Fan Favorite Award, the only honor actually selected by vote of Albuquerque's great fans, was won by outfielder Eric Reed, who has thrilled 'Topes fans for parts of three years with his speed and defensive abilities. This year, Reed was second on the team with 12 triples and stole 30 bases.
