Connor Schmidt and Canada Red dropped their first game at the 2023 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge.
Canada Red fell 4-0 to Czechia on Saturday to sit at 2-1 so far at the tournament in Charlottetown and Summerside, Prince Edward Island.
After having Sunday off, the tournament resumes on Monday with Canada Red facing off with 1-1-1 Sweden at 5 p.m.
Schmidt and Canada Red will finish the round robin on Tuesday with a showdown against the United States.
The medal round starts on Thursday.
