WEEKEND RECAP
SAT. NOV. 4 - In a complete effort from start to finish, the Rebels earned their first win of their B.C. road trip by grounding the high flying Kelowna Rockets 3-1. Frantisek Formanek scored even strength while Kai Uchacz and Carson Latimer each scored power play goals. Rhett Stoesser made 26 saves for the win. Red Deer was 2-for-5 on the power play and held Kelowna to 0-for-3.
FRI. NOV. 3 - It was a back-and-forth game at the Sandman Centre before the Kamloops Blazers scored in the ninth round of the shootout for a 4-3 win over the Rebels. Kai Uchacz scored twice for the second straight game, including one shorthanded, while Samuel Drancak scored once. Chase Wutzke made 32 saves through regulation and overtime, and six more in the shootout.
UPCOMING GAMES
The Rebels continue their "left coast" trip in Victoria where they'll take on the Royals on Tuesday. After a Wednesday night tilt in Langley versus the Vancouver Giants, the road trip wraps up Friday, November 10 versus the Prince George Royals. Each game on the trip starts at 8 p.m. MT and will be carried exclusively on 106.7 REWIND Radio and CHL TV.
Next home game
The next Rebels home at the Peavey Mart Centrium goes Saturday, November 18 versus the Calgary Hitmen. It will be the second "Beer Night" of the season as fans can enjoy two cans of domestic beer for just $10. The inaugural "Running of the Pooches" also takes place during the first intermission. Game time is 7 p.m. Tickets can be purchased now through Tickets Alberta.

Congratulations to Rebels Athletic Therapist Terence Robertson, who worked his 1000th game with the club when the Rebels visited the Calgary Hitmen on October 28.

MCSWEENEY'S MINOR HOCKEY TRAINING DAY CONTEST
The Western Hockey League and McSweeney's Premium Jerky and Meat Snacks announced today the launch of the WHL McSweeney's Minor Hockey Training Day Contest. From November 1 through December 15, 2023, minor hockey teams can enter to win a unique training experience with their local WHL team, including an on-ice session, off-ice training, team meet and greet, McSweeney's gifting, and more. Minor hockey teams are eligible to enter the contest online by visiting mcsweeneys.ca/hockeytrainingday. Only one entry per team is permitted.
WHL CELEBRATES RETURN OF RE/MAX PRESENTS: NICKELODEON NIGHTS FOR CHILDREN'S MIRACLE NETWORK
The Western Hockey League announced today the return of RE/MAX Presents: Nickelodeon Nights for Children's Miracle Network. The 2022-23 edition of RE/MAX Presents: Nickelodeon Nights for Children's Miracle Network saw nearly $160,000 raised in support of Children's Hospital Foundations across Western Canada. In all 16 of the WHL's Canadian markets, WHL Clubs will celebrate a Nickelodeon theme night, complete with special theme jerseys, branded creative, giveaway items, and in-game activations. Funds raised through RE/MAX Presents: Nickelodeon Night for Children's Miracle Network will go towards supporting local children's hospitals in Western Canada, including the BC Children's Hospital, Stollery Children's Hospital, Alberta Children's Hospital, Jim Pattison Children's Hospital, and Children's Hospital of Winnipeg. The Rebels will be taking part on February 9.
