
Sarno, Goren lead Moose past Ducks

CINCINNATI, Ohio -- Peter Sarno and Lee Goren each had a goal and an assist to lead the Manitoba Moose to a 4-2 win over the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks Friday at Cincinnati Gardens.
Alexandre Burrows and former IHL Cyclone Jeff Heerema also scored for the Moose, who have earned points in each of their last seven games (5-0-0-2).
Wade Flaherty stopped 25 shots to improved his record to 5-2-0.
Stanislav Chistov and Michael Holmqvist scored for Cincinnati, which has lost four straight games and five of its last six.
Ilya Bryzgalov surrendered three goals on 25 shots in the loss for the Ducks, who fell below .500 for the first time this season (5-6-0-0).
Cincinnati has scored just six goals in its last four games and 13 in its last seven. The Ducks scored 13 times in their first four games this season.
The Ducks and Moose and complete a two-game series Saturday at 7:35 p..m. at Cincinnati Gardens. The first 2,000 fans in attendance will receive a Mighty Ducks team photo, courtesy of Gold Star Chili.
