
Sarfate to Rehab With Keys

Frederick, MD - Baltimore Orioles RHP Dennis Sarfate will come to Frederick for a rehab assignment pitching against the Kinston Indians Tuesday, July 14th at 7:00 p.m. at Harry Grove Stadium. Sarfate is the second Oriole to rehab with Frederick in 2009 and the 15th to do so since the 2007 season.
Sarfate is 0-0 with a 6.39 ERA in eight appearances with Baltimore in 2009. He last worked May 1st in Toronto where he felt numbness in the middle finger of his right hand. Sarfate has been on the disabled list with a cracked artery in his shoulder that had been leading to circulatory problems.
The right-handed reliever came to the Orioles prior to the 2008 season in the trade that sent shortstop Miguel Tejada to Houston. In 2008, Sarfate made 57 appearances with the Orioles amassing a 4-3 record with a 4.74 ERA. Prior to 2008, Sarfate had 15 career appearances between Milwaukee and Houston.
Tuesday, July 14th will be Superstar Night at Harry Grove Stadium as locals with famous people's names will be honored throughout the evening. It will also be Guaranteed Win Night as if the Keys lose, your ticket will be good for any remaining Monday - Thursday regular season Keys home game.
