December 2, 2022 - NBA G League (G League)
Santa Cruz Warriors News Release
SANTA CRUZ, CA - The Santa Cruz Warriors coaches, players and front office staff will host events throughout the next few weeks to support local Santa Cruz families and youth during this holiday season, as part of the NBA Cares Season of Giving league-wide campaign. Members of the Santa Cruz Warriors organization will spread holiday cheer while engaging with disadvantaged families, youth with life-threatening medical conditions and local community groups.
Below is a look at the Santa Cruz Warriors' schedule of Season of Giving events:
SATURDAY, DECEMBER 3:
Downtown Holiday Parade - The Santa Cruz Warriors front office team members and beloved mascot, Mav'Riks, will participate in the annual Downtown Holiday Parade in Santa Cruz.
SUNDAY, DECEMBER 11:
Adopt-a-Family - We are in our ninth year of "Adopting a Family" through the Santa Cruz Volunteer Center, and this year we've adopted a local family of five. The family will be invited out to the Santa Cruz Warriors home game against the Oklahoma City Blue on December 11, where a SCW player will surprise the family with their gifts.
MONDAY, DECEMBER 12:
Holiday Shopping Spree, presented by Chase - On December 12, Santa Cruz Warriors guard Zeke Moore will treat 30 local youth from the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Cruz County to a special holiday shopping experience.
TUESDAY, DECEMBER 13:
Helping Hands: Jacob's Heart Gift Wrapping - For the fourth consecutive year, front office team members will visit Jacob's Heart Children's Cancer Support Services as part of our Helping Hands volunteer program. Team members will spend the morning wrapping presents that will be delivered to local children and their families who are battling cancer and other serious diseases.
THURSDAY, DECEMBER 29:
Pajama Night - For the seventh year, the Sea Dubs will celebrate Pajama Night at our home game on Dec 29. Fans and front office team members will be encouraged to wear their PJ's to the game, as well as bring a new pair to donate to the non-profit, Project Pajamas. Project Pajamas aims to provide a new pair of PJ's to every child in a homeless shelter or other form of emergency housing in Santa Cruz County. The first 1,500 fans in attendance at the game will receive a Santa Cruz Warriors Night Light, presented by Bogard Construction.
