
Iowa Wolves Extend Winning Streak to Five

DETROIT - The Iowa Wolves extended its winning streak to five with a 116-106 victory over the Motor City Cruise on Friday morning at Wayne State Fieldhouse.
Iowa (7-3) was paced by Luka Garza who scored a season-high 33 points and four others finished in double figures. A.J. Lawson scored 16 points, PJ Dozier tallied a season-high 16 points off the bench and Emmanuel Mudiay had 19 points, five rebounds, two assists and two steals. Matt Lewis handed out a season-high six assists and finished with 10 points.
Motor City (2-9) was led in scoring by Devontae Cacok who scored 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.
It was back-and-forth in the first quarter and early in the second with six lead changes and five ties before Iowa took the lead for good with Brandon Sampson's three just over one-minute in. The Wolves built a 10-point halftime lead and later led by 15 in their fifth-straight win and third consecutive victory on the road.
Iowa and Motor City will play again Saturday night at 6 p.m. CT inside Wayne State Fieldhouse.
