STOCKTON, CA - The Santa Cruz Warriors (9-12) beat the Stockton Kings (10-11) on Wednesday night at Stockton Arena, 109-99.
The first half of play had 15 lead changes, but the Warriors sneaked into halftime with a one-point lead, 62-61. Warriors Guard Jerome Robinson scored the first five points for the team and tallied 16 total in the first half.
Santa Cruz kept the lead the entire third quarter and quickly extended the lead to as many as 14 points early in the fourth. The Kings finished the game on a 7-2 run, but the Warriors held off to earn the win.
Robinson finished the night with a game-high 28 points and added six rebounds. Two-Way Guard Quinndary Weatherspoon battled inside to add 21 points. Forward LJ Figueroa was big off the bench with 18 points and 10 rebounds.
The Kings were led by guard Quinn Cook and Sheldon Mac each with 15 points. Two-Way Center Neemias Queta tallied 14 points and 12 rebounds.
