Blue Coats Fall to Nets in Long Island Wednesday Night

On the night when James Harden made his home debut for the NBA's Philadelphia 76ers, the team's G League affiliate, the Delaware Blue Coats (12-6) fell on the road to the Long Island Nets (15-8), 119-113

The Blue Coats did have some bright moments throughout, but fell behind at various points after a tightly-knitted scoring battle. The Nets began to pull away in the second frame and ended the half up 61-50.

Long Island would build on their lead and go up by 19 points by the end of the third quarter, but the Blue Coats continued to fight. In the fourth quarter, they exploded for 45 points. Charlie Brown Jr. scored 9 points in the final twelve minutes of play and ended the game as his team's leading scorer with 24 on the night.

Six other Coats also ended up scoring double-digit points.

Charlie Brown Jr.

Brown Jr. was named the Blue Coats' Specialist Player of the Game, thanks to his 24 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 steals.

Myles Powell

Powell continued to shoot well from three-point range, going 5-7 from behind the arc, recording 18 total points. He also joined Jaden Springer, Braxton Key, and Brown Jr. as the Coats with at least 3 steals on the night.
