
San Diego Gulls Announce 2016-17 Regular Season Schedule

SAN DIEGO - The American Hockey League (AHL) today announced the complete regular-season schedule for the 2016-17 AHL campaign. The San Diego Gulls will play their season opener at home on Friday, Oct. 14 against the Tucson Roadrunners at Valley View Casino Center (7 p.m. PDT). The Gulls continue their opening homestand with contests vs. the Ontario Reign (Oct. 15), Texas Stars (Oct. 22) and Stockton Heat (Oct. 26). San Diego's road schedule opens with the team's first Canadian road trip, back-to-back contests against the Manitoba Moose on Fri, Oct. 28 (5 p.m. PDT) and Sat, Oct. 29 (5 p.m. PDT).
The 68-game schedule will feature 34 home dates at Valley View Casino Center with visits by each team in the Pacific Division (Bakersfield, Ontario, San Antonio, San Jose, Stockton, Texas and Tucson) as well as three inter-conference opponents. The three inter-conference opponents are the Iowa Wild (Minnesota Wild), the Manitoba Moose (Winnipeg Jets) and the Rockford IceHogs (Chicago Blackhawks). San Diego will host 11 Saturday games, 10 Friday games, seven Wednesday games, four Tuesday games, one Monday game and one Sunday game. The Gulls' busiest months will be December and March with a total of 12 games in each month (six home & six road).
Additional highlights include home games on Veterans Day vs. Manitoba (7 p.m. PST) and the day after Christmas vs. Tucson (7 p.m. PST) as well as a home-and-home series against Ontario Reign to conclude the 2016-17 regular season on Friday, Apr. 14 at Citizens Business Bank Arena (7 p.m. PDT) and Saturday, Apr. 15 at Valley View Casino Center (7 p.m. PDT).
Gulls Season Tickets for the 2016-17 season are available starting as low as $408 and offer many exciting and exclusive benefits. Ten-game and 20-game mini-plans are on-sale now. Fans can purchase Season Tickets and Mini Plan packages by calling the San Diego Gulls Ticket office at (619) 359-4730. Single Game Tickets for all Gulls games at Valley View Casino Center will go on sale Wednesday, Aug. 31 at 10 a.m. PDT.
