Salt Lake Bees Claim Game 3 against Reno Aces

Brendon Davis snapped a 4-4 tie in the fifth inning with a two run inside the park homer to help lead the Salt Lake Bees to a 7-4 win over the Reno Aces. The Bees entered the fifth down by a run, but Magneuris Sierra opened the inning by reaching on an error. With one out, Kean Wong singled and Sierra scored from first on a throwing error. One out later, Davis drove a ball off of the wall in left center that caromed back into center and he circled the bases for the 21st inside the park home run in franchise history. Luis Rengifo would add an insurance run with a solo homer in the ninth.

Salt Lake starter Jhonathan Diaz (1-0) walked four batters in the first inning, which led to four runs, but settled in and tossed four scoreless innings for the win. Keith Rogalla followed with three shutout innings and Jonathan Aro worked a three up, three down ninth for his second save of the season. Dillon Thomas drove in two runs with a first inning single. Chad Wallach doubled to extend his hitting streak to eight games and Rengifo's homer stretched his to seven games.
