Week In Review â The Saints went 0-0-1 this week with an over-time road loss to Fort Worth in their only game of the week.
Jan 16th / San Angelo 3 - Fort Worth 4 (OT) / The Saints fought back from 1-goal deficits three times to send the game to over-time, but the Brahmas scored on a break-away in the extra frame for the 4-3 win. The Brahmas scored on a rebound just 2:16 into the 1st period and their 1-0 lead held until the 15:43 mark of the 2nd period when Chris Minard scored a power-play goal to tie it 1-1. But, less than a minute later the Brahmas got a power-play goal of their own to re-take the lead 2-1. Scott Lega scored on a one-timer from the point with just 4 seconds left in the 2nd period to tie it 2-2 heading into the 3rd period. The Brahmas re-took the lead 3-2 at the 9:48 mark, but Matt Frick tied it less than a minute later and the teams went to over-time tied 3-3. When a bouncing puck eluded the Saints defense at the Brahmas' blue-line, Aaron Davis went on a break-away and scored to secure the win for Fort Worth. Matt Frick has 2 pts (1G, 1A) for the Saints and Brant Nicklin notched 30 saves in defeat.
