
Saints Put Together Complete Game in 11-0 Win

ST. PAUL, MN (May 17, 2007) - The St. Paul Saints put together a complete game on Thursday night at Midway Stadium as they rolled over the St. Joseph Blacksnakes 11-0 in front of 4,332.
The Saints exploded for five runs in the third inning as they sent nine men to the plate. Jay Davis started the scoring with a single to left that brought home Ben Thomas. With two outs and the bases loaded Brent Krause hit a no-doubter over the left field wall for a grand slam and a 5-0 lead. Krause finished 3-5 with four RBI and a run scored.
In the fourth Ben Thomas led off with a solo homer over the right field wall and by the time the inning was over the Saints led 8-0 on RBI singles by Marcel Longmire and a bases loaded walk to Billy Cox. Thomas finished the night 3-5, falling a triple shy of the cycle with two RBI and two runs scored.
Jake Postlewait tossed his second gem of the season going 7.0 shutout innings allowing five hits while walking one and striking out five to earn his second victory of the season.
The same two teams meet on Friday night at 7:05 p.m. with the Saints sending LHP Brian Whinnery (0-1, 5.40) to the hill against RHP Alec Sheppard (1-0, 1.50) Mascots will take over the ballpark with Mascot Mania.
