Saints Put Playoff Tickets on Sale

ST. PAUL, MN (August 27, 2011) - The St. Paul Saints still have a little work left ahead of them before they clinch their first playoff berth since 2007, but with the club in a three way tie for the wild card, with four games remaining, playoff tickets will go on sale for the first round.

Beginning Saturday, August 27 at 10:00 a.m. playoff tickets will be available for purchase at the Saints box office, on line at saintsbaseball.com or by phone at 651-644-6659. If the Saints get into the playoffs as a wild card they would host game three on Saturday, September 3 at 7:05 p.m. and, if necessary, game four Sunday, September 4 at 1:05 p.m. and game five, Monday, September 5 at 1:05 p.m..

Tickets for all playoff games are the same price as the regular season at $5 for general admission, $8 for outfield reserved and $12 for infield reserved. If the Saints don't make the playoffs, fans purchasing tickets will receive either a full refund or a credit towards the 2012 season. The box office will be open on Saturday, August 27 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

The Saints currently lead the Gary SouthShore Railcats and Wichita Wingnuts by one game for the wild card. One of those Central Division teams will get into the playoffs by virtue of winning the Central Division. The Lincoln Saltdogs are 3.5 games back and the Sioux City Explorers are five games back. The Saints will finish the regular season with a four game series at U.S. Steel Yard against the Railcats beginning on Saturday night, August 27 at 6:10 p.m. Game two of the series will be Sunday afternoon at 2:10 p.m. and Monday and Tuesday night's games are at 7:10 p.m. Fans can tune into Relevant Radio 1330 to catch all the action or go to saintsbaseball.com to follow the team as they try to reach the playoffs for the 12th time in the franchises 19 year history.
