Wichita 19, El Paso 2

The Wichita Wingnuts scored nine runs in the fifth inning alone and tallied 27 total hits in the game as they routed the El Paso Diablos 19-2. Wichita 3B Juan Richardson went a perfect 6-for-6 at the plate and collected seven RBIs in the game to lead the Wingnuts. Richardson hit a grand slam in the Wingnuts' nine-run fifth inning, and also had a pair of RBI singles and an RBI double. Also for Wichita, CF Mitch Einertson and RF Josh Workman each batted in three runs, and SS Josh Horn went 3-for-4 with a triple, three runs scored and an RBI. Wingnuts starting pitcher Marcos Tabata pitched five scoreless innings to earn the win, surrendering just two hits. For El Paso, LF Brian Joynt had an RBI in the loss.
