ALUMNI REPORT...
Jean-Sebastien Giguere (1997/98 - 1999/00) became the first goaltender in Anaheim's franchise history to record three consecutive shutouts as the Mighty Ducks pounded the Pittsburgh Penguins, 5-0.
While totaling 47 shots, Anaheim matched a season high with five goals, but it needed only one of them as Giguere stretched his franchise-best shutout string to 200 minutes, 15 seconds. Guy Hebert had a streak of 191:47 in December 1998.
Giguere moved within one of Toronto's Ed Belfour for the NHL lead with his fourth shutout of the season, stopping seven shots in the first period, four in the second and eight in the third.
Dwayne Roloson (1994/95-1997/98) allowed just one goal, despite getting over the flu to improve to 5-0-3 in his last eight starts for the Wild. He has surrendered only 12 goals in his last 495 minutes played, becoming the go-to guy in Minnesota's goaltender rotation.
