Ryan Menei returns to Sea Wolves from Asiago HC

BILOXI, MS- The Mississippi Sea Wolves announced on Tuesday that forward Ryan Menei has returned to the team after starting the season with Asiago HC in Italy.

"The Sea Wolves are glad to have Ryan back here on the coast," said Sea Wolves head coach Steffon Walby. "He will have to work hard in order to catch up conditioning-wise, but Ryan will be a great addition to our hockey club."

Menei was the Sea Wolves' representative at the 2008 ECHL All-Star Game in Stockton, Ca., and scored 23 goals and 53 assists in 71 regular season games as a rookie. A native of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Menei played three full seasons in the Western Hockey League with Saskatoon, appearing in 177 games while scoring 114 points (50g, 64a). In 2006-07, the 5-11, 203-pound Menei scored 77 points (35g, 42a) in 71 games with Saskatoon, before beginning his pro career with Muskegon of the now-defunct United Hockey League. In 10 regular season games with Muskegon, Menei scored three goals and two assists, and in nine playoff games, the 22-year old scored three assists.
