Former Sea Wolves Forward Smolenak Recalled to Tampa Bay

A native of Prague, Czech Republic, Smolenak appeared in 19 games in the 2007-08 for the Sea Wolves, scoring seven goals and eight assists and earning a -1 rating.

"We're very pleased to see Radek get recalled to the Tampa Bay Lightning and get a chance in the National Hockey League," said Sea Wolves head coach Steffon Walby. "He's a very talented kid who developed his game at the ECHL level, and that's something that our current players can look at and use to motivate themselves towards the same goal. Over the past two years, his perseverance and dedication to the game enabled him to better himself and get this opportunity."

The Sea Wolves host the Augusta Lynx this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 7:05 p.m.
