STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder, the proud ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Edmonton Oilers and American Hockey League's Springfield Falcons, announced defenseman Cleve Kinley (KIHN-lee) has been reassigned to the Thunder from Springfield and forward Ryan Huddy (HUH-dee) has been recalled to Springfield.

Kinley, 24, leads all Thunder defensemen with nine points (1g-8a) in 18 ECHL games this season, amassing a +2 rating and 39 penalty minutes. The 6-foot, 190-pound defenseman appeared in one game with the Falcons and has registered two assists and four penalty minutes in 12 career AHL games with Springfield and Grand Rapids.

The Surrey, B.C. native split time during the 2007-08 campaign with the AHL's Grand Rapids Griffins and ECHL's Texas Wildcatters. Kinley ranked second on the Wildcatters in scoring among defensemen collecting six goals and 28 assists for 34 points in 60 regular season games.

Kinley led Texas in scoring during the Kelly Cup Playoffs last season, totaling five goals and eight assists for 13 points in nine post-season contests.

Huddy, 25, leads Thunder rookies and is tied for 8th in ECHL rookie scoring with 18 points (8g-10a) in 19 games. The 5-9, 180-pound forward spent 2006-08 in the German Oberliga League with Peiting and Hannover, scoring 119 points (52g-67a) in 96 games. Last season, the native of Stony Plain, Alberta ranked third on Hannover with 25 goals and scored 60 points (25g-35a) in 48 games.

Huddy, whose father Charlie is an assistant coach with Edmonton and played 17 years (1981-97) in the NHL as a defenseman with Edmonton, Los Angeles, St. Louis and Buffalo, is signed to a two-way AHL/ECHL contract and spent the 2008-09 NHL training camp period with the Oilers.

Huddy is the eighth Thunder player to earn a call-up to the American Hockey League this season.
