Rush Acquire Sniper Nino Musitelli from Americans

(Rapid City, SD) - The Rapid City Rush and Allen Americans announced the completion of a trade today that brings in forward Nino Musitelli to Rapid City and sends enforcer Alex Penner to the Americans. Musitelli is coming off a season in which he led the Americans with 34 goals and also amassed 70 points in 59 games for Allen in 2010-11.
Musitelli, 27, is in his 4th professional season and joins the Rush after posting two goals and three assists in 20 games this season for the Americans this season. The forward took last season off due to family issues.
A native of Macomb, Michigan, Musitelli has appeared in 141 CHL games, all with the Americans, racking up 59 goals and 79 assists for 138 total points. The 5'8" 181-pound forward turned pro in 2008-09 with the Dayton Bombers of the ECHL where he totaled 50 points (19G, 31A) in 62 games.
Prior to joining the pro ranks, Musitelli played four years of college hockey for the Miami University Redhawks.
In 24 games for Rapid City this season, Penner posted two assists and 71 penalty minutes.
