Victoria, B.C. - The Victoria Royals will wrap-up their three-game home stand with a matchup against the Prince Albert Raiders this Tuesday night at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre in Victoria.

The Royals are riding high after defeating the BC Division-leading Kamloops Blazers 3-2 on Saturday night and will look to carry the momentum into their matchup against Prince Albert.

It has been over three years since Victoria and Prince Albert last shared the ice, with their most recent matchup ending in a 3-0 victory for the Raiders back on Jan. 29, 2020 in Prince Albert.

Tuesday will also mark the first trip to the Island for the Raiders since January of 2019, when they earned a 4-1 victory over the Royals.

Victoria General Manager and Head Coach Dan Price outlined some keys to maintaining success against an unfamiliar opponent:

"[Prince Albert] is going to be tough," said Price. "They're well structured, a good young team...We haven't seen them yet, so this will be a big challenge...We want to stay on our toes in the offensive zone, shrink the zone, be very confrontational on defence, and to have an offensive net focus that is driving towards the net."

Forward Teydon Trembecky has emerged as one of the top offensive threats for the club in recent weeks, recording goals in four consecutive contests coming into Tuesday's game.

The 17-year-old leads all Royals rookie skaters with 14 points (six goals, eight assists) in 44 games played this season and has put up six points (four goals, two assists ) over his last 10 contests.

Goaltender Braden Holt has also proved to be a valuable piece for the club of late, posting 35 saves and earning the win against the high-flying Kamloops offence on Saturday.

The Bozeman, MT product has amassed a 7-2-1-1 record with a 2.89 goals against average (GAA), a .913 save percentage (SV%) and two shutouts over 11 games with Victoria since arriving in a trade from Everett in late December.

Backup Nicholas Cristiano is also expected to be available for Tuesday's game. The Langley, BC native has made 17 appearances this season, earning a 4-10-0-0 record with a 4.30 GAA and a .857 SV%.

On the other side, the Raiders are led on offense by 19-year-old forward Sloan Stanick, who leads the team with 41 points (17 goals, 24 assists) in 44 games this year and has posted eight points (four goals, four assists) over his last 10 appearances.

Prince Albert also boasts a solid duo between the pipes in 19-year-old Tikhon Chaika and 18-year-old Max Hildebrand.

Chaika, a native of Minsk, Belarus, has made 31 appearances for the club this season, earning a 11-17-0-0 record with one shutout, a 3.27 GAA and a .893 SV%.

Meanwhile, Hildebrand-a product of Martensville, SK-has appeared in 21 games for Prince Albert, posting a 6-8-3-0 record with a 3.57 GAA and a .873 SV%.

The game is set to get underway at 7:05 pm on Tuesday, Jan. 31 at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre in Victoria.
