ABOUT LAST WEEKEND
Sat. Jan. 28 - The Winnipeg ICE, the top ranked team in the Canadian Hockey League, defeated the Rebels 5-1 at the Peavey Mart Centrium. Mats Lindgren scored on a power play in the second period for Red Deer.
Fri. Jan. 27 - The Rebels earned a 5-1 win over the visiting Saskatoon Blades at the Peavey Mart Centrium. Kai Uchacz led the way once again with two goals and an assist. Frantisek Formanek had three assists. Kalan Lind, Dwayne Jean Jr. and Ben King (power play) also scored. Christoffer Sedoff and Hunter Mayo each had two assists. Kyle Kelsey turned in a superb 34-save performance.
BEDARD BACK IN TOWN
Connor Bedard and the Regina Pats pay their final visit of the regular season this Tuesday, Jan. 31 at the Peavey Mart Centrium. This game is completely sold-out! The Rebels have one win and one loss so far this season versus the Pats. Game time is at 7 p.m. with the broadcast on 106.7 REWIND Radio beginning at 6:30.
AWAY TO THE U.S.A.
The Rebels are set to embark on a trip through the U.S. Division for the first time in four years (since Feb. 2019). The trip starts Saturday night in Spokane versus the Chiefs and continues Sunday versus the Everett Silvertips. The Rebels visit the Portland Winterhawks on Tuesday, Feb. 7 then head to Seattle where they'll battle the Thunderbirds next Friday. The trip concludes Saturday, Feb. 11 when the Rebels take on the Tri-City Americans in Kennewick, Washington.
FAMILY DAY FESTIVITIES
Following their trip south of the border, the Rebels will return to action on Friday, February 17 versus the Memorial Cup hosting Kamloops Blazers (7 p.m.) on Country and Western Night at the Peavey Mart Centrium.
Then on Monday. Feb. 20, the Rebels host the Medicine Hat Tigers for a special Family Day Matinee at 2 p.m. It'll be "Sockey Day in Red Deer" where attendees will receive a free pair of socks, provided by generous sponsors, or bring their own to throw on the ice during the game. These socks will then be gathered by United Way volunteers and distributed to people in need across Central Alberta via our partner agencies. Guests can also purchase raffle tickets for some exciting prize packages.

ON THE RADAR: The Rebels have three players included on the NHL Central Scouting Midterm Rankings for the 2023 NHL Draft - Kalan Kind (F, '05) 23rd North American Skaters, Kai Uchacz (F, '04) 130th, Matteo Fabrizi (D, '05) 215th.
Lind will also suit up for Team White at the 2023 Kubota CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game, January 25 in Langley, BC. The 18-year-old from Shaunavon, SK was the Rebels' 1st round pick (6th overall) at the 2020 WHL Prospects Draft. He won gold with Team Canada at the 2022 Hlinka Gretzky Cup held at the Peavey Mart Centrium in Red Deer, July 31-August 6. Lind also played at the Capital City Challenge in Ottawa in November 2021.
