Omaha Storm Chasers News Release

OMAHA, NE - The Omaha Royals game vs. the Round Rock Express, scheduled for 11:05 a.m. today at Rosenblatt Stadium, has been postponed due to rain and cold. The two teams will make up the postponed game by playing a doubleheader when Round Rock returns to Omaha in July. They will meet in a pair of seven inning games on Sunday, July 20th, with the first pitch of the opener still scheduled for 1:35 p.m. at Rosenblatt.

The Royals finish their first home stand of the season with a record of 5-2, having won four straight games, including all three from the Express. Omaha is in first place in the Pacific Coast League's American Conference North, one game ahead of the Memphis Redbirds (4-3), with third place Iowa (2-4) two-and-a-half games back and defending division champion Nashville (1-6) already four lengths behind.

The Royals embark on an eight-game road trip to Tennessee on Friday, opening a four-game series vs. the Memphis Redbirds, which will be followed by a four-game set at Nashville. You can follow all the action on News Talk 1420 KOTK and online at www.oroyals.com. Air-time from AutoZone Park is 6:45 p.m.

The next home stand at Rosenblatt Stadium begins on Saturday, April 19th, when the Royals host the New Orleans Zephyrs at 7:05 p.m. The first 1,500 fans will receive an individually hand-numbered statue of former Omaha and Kansas City Royals pitcher David Cone, courtesy of ExpressJet, WOWT, 1620 The Zone and The Reader!
