
Rox Sweep First Series of Second Half in Canada

Thunder Bay, ON- Ben Carew (Kent State) tied the Rox single game record for doubles as St. Cloud (22-15) swept Thunder Bay (14-23) by a score of 3-2.
St. Cloud went ahead 1-0 in the top of the third inning after Zack Elliott (Minnesota) scored on a wild pitch.
With the game tied 1-1 in the top of the sixth inning, Garrett Delano (Brown) scored Carew from third base on a sacrifice-fly to center field.
The Rox would tack on an insurance run in the top of the ninth inning as Delano scored on a wild pitch.
Trevor Koenig (St. Cloud State) pitched eight innings and earned the win on the mound. Blake Stelzer (Concordia-St. Paul) notched the save.

St. Cloud will be back at home on Friday against Willmar with a 7:05 p.m. first pitch time. There will be a post-game fireworks show as the Rox continue to celebrate Independence Day.
