
Rox Finish First Half with 21 Wins After Game Two in Waterloo - Travel to Duluth for Two-Game Series Tomorrow to Start Second Half

WATERLOO, IA - The St. Cloud Rox (21-13) dropped Game Two against the Waterloo Bucks (14-20) with a 5-3 final score, Monday, July 3rd. The Rox finished the first half with 21 wins, one of the best marks across the entire league. In the Great Plains West division, St. Cloud finished the first half in second place.
The starting pitcher for St. Cloud was Kolten Smith. Smith threw 4.0 innings, tallying three strikeouts while giving up just an earned run. Smith has a team-high 30 strikeouts and a 4.22 ERA this season over 21.1 innings pitched.
Jackson Hauge extended his RBI lead for St. Cloud, with a hit and an RBI. Hauge has 23 RBI this season, which is tied for 14thin the Northwoods League. Ben Vujovich had another solid day at the plate, with two RBI, a hit, and a run scored. Vujovich is tied for the team lead in runs scored with 23. Carson Keithley had a double and a run scored for St. Cloud.
Brady Posch was first out of the bullpen, throwing a spotless 5thinning, tallying a strikeout. Chris Brown kept the Bucks scoreless in the 6thinning, holding the lineup to no hits. Garrett Mclaughlin was able to tally the first two outs of the 7thinning for St. Cloud, while Alex Ramos had 1.1 innings pitched, keeping the Bucks hitless.

The Rox will play game one of a two-game series against the Duluth Huskies tomorrow, Tuesday, July 4th, with a 3:05 pm first pitch. The Rox return home on July 5thfor a 6:35 first pitch against the Duluth Huskies. It will also be "Bark in the Park" Night! Not only do your Rox take on the Huskies from Duluth, but you can bring your husky to the game or whatever type of dog you have. The one and only game of the season to bring your K-9 best friend to a Rox game. Dogs need to enter through the 1st base gate on Bark in the Park Night.
