
Rivets Fall Short to Battle Creek While on the Road

Rockford Rivets News Release
The Rockford Rivets played the Battle Creek Battle Jacks while on the road. The final score was 3-4 in the Battle Jacks favor.
The first run of the game was made by the Battle Jacks in the bottom of the second inning creating a 1-0 lead. The Rivets battled in the top of the third scoring three runs for the team.
Jeffrey Ince was up to bat with only one out before hitting a double and bringing home Tony Lindwedel for the Rivets and putting them on the board. Jack Scheri hit a single to center field bringing home Jeffrey Ince as well as Bradley White by an error. This brought the score to 1-3 with the Rivets in the lead.
The Battle Jacks then scored two more runs in the bottom of the fourth to tie up the game. The Rockford Rivets tried to rally us a score but unfortunately fell short to the Battle Jacks as they scored one more run in the bottom of the eighth for a final score of 4-3.
The Rockford Rivets will be playing the Battle Jacks again tonight, July 3rd, at 6:35 PM ET.
