Eau Claire, WI - Ryland Kerr (Eastern Kentucky) drilled his first home run of the season but St. Cloud (36-35) fell to Eau Claire, 8-2. The team combined for eight hits, with three coming from the bat of Kerr.

The Rox recorded their first run of the game in the third inning, when Kerr blasted a home run over the left field wall. He now has 23 RBI's on the 2018 season.

Another run was added on in the sixth inning, when Jack Barrie (Reinhardt) scored Ricardo Sanchez (Arkansas at Pine Bluff) from third base. It was Barrie's 34th RBI of the season, which leads the team in that category.

To go along with Kerr's three hit performance, Ben Carew (Kent State), Michael Borst (Minot State), Noah Hill (BYU), Sanchez, and Barrie all recorded one hit each.

Jake Stevenson (Minnesota) started the game for St. Cloud, striking out one batter. Ross Bastyr (Concordia St. Paul) then pitched four innings of relief on the mound. Nate Shoemaker (Creighton) tossed two innings, striking out two batters. Sergio Esparza hurled the eighth inning, making quick work of the Eau Claire offense.

St. Cloud will look to split the two-game series Sunday at Carson Park in the final game of the 2018 season. First pitch is scheduled for 2:05.
