St. Cloud Rox News Release

Duluth, MN-- Once again, the St. Cloud Rox rallied in the top of the ninth inning to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat, and defeated the Duluth Huskies by a final score of 4-3 to earn a series split.

St. Cloud struck first thanks to an RBI double by Austin Athmann (University of Minnesota) in the first inning, as Jake Farr (Tennessee Tech) came around to score from first after leading off the inning with a single.

Duluth regained the lead in the bottom of the second, when they plated two.

Marc-Andre Habeck (Georgia St.) went 6 innings for the Rox, giving up 8 hits and 2 runs.

Trailing 3-1 in the top of the 9th, Lee Miller (Davidson) got the rally started when he lined a one out triple into the left center gap.

Toby Hanson (University of Minnesota) followed Miller's triple with a double of his own to cut the Rox deficit to 3-2.

After Kyle Serrano (Colorado Mesa University) was hit by a pitch, Reese Gregory entered the game as a pinch hitter. Gregory then lined a fastball into left field as Hanson came around to score to tie things at 3.

Jake Farr then singled into left as Serrano came around to score to give the Rox a 4-3 lead that they wouldn't relinquish.

Brian Glowicki (University of Minnesota) entered in the bottom of the 9th inning and made quick work of the Huskies, as he retired Duluth in order.

With the win, the Rox moved to 9-5 on the season, as they currently sit just a half game back of the North division lead.

The St. Cloud Rox return to action tomorrow night in Willmar, as they play the Stingers for the first time this season. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 PM.
